IDAC confirmation never arrived: what travellers should know

If you submitted your All Indonesia Arrival Card (IDAC) and have not received a confirmation, you’re not alone. Many travellers encounter delays or gaps in communication after submission — especially when relying on email delivery. This article outlines concrete steps to take, clarifies what the IDAC confirmation actually is, and explains how to verify your status without assumptions.

What the IDAC confirmation is — and isn’t

The IDAC confirmation is an electronic receipt issued after successful submission of your All Indonesia Arrival Card. It is not a visa, entry permit, or pre-approval for travel. It does not guarantee entry into Indonesia. It simply confirms that your data was received by the system within the required timeframe.

There is no physical document. The confirmation is sent exclusively via email — to the address you provided during submission. No SMS, WhatsApp, or postal mail is used by the official process.

Why your IDAC confirmation may not have arrived

Delays or missing confirmations usually stem from technical or procedural causes — not processing failures. Common reasons include:

Note: The official portal does not send reminders, follow-ups, or duplicate confirmations automatically. If your submission was processed successfully, only one confirmation email is generated.

  • Your email provider flagged the confirmation as spam or junk (check all folders, including Promotions and Social tabs)
  • A typo in the email address entered during submission (e.g., “gamil.com” instead of “gmail.com”)
  • Submission occurred outside the official window (the IDAC must be submitted 2–3 days before arrival; submissions earlier or later may not generate a confirmation)
  • Network interruption during final submission — resulting in incomplete transmission (no error message may appear)

How to verify your IDAC status — step by step

You cannot call or email Indonesian immigration for IDAC status checks. There is no public hotline or live chat for individual verification. Instead, use this verified method:

Go directly to the official portal. On the homepage, locate the “Check IDAC Status” section. Enter your full name (as on your passport), passport number, and date of birth exactly as submitted. Click “Search”. If your submission was received and processed, the system will display your reference number and submission timestamp.

If nothing appears, it means either:

Do not attempt to resubmit unless you’ve confirmed your original submission failed. Duplicate submissions can cause system mismatches and delay resolution.

  • Your submission was not completed successfully, or
  • You entered incorrect details during the status check (double-check spelling and passport number format — no spaces or special characters)

What to do if your IDAC confirmation truly never arrived

First, wait at least 45 minutes after submission before concluding the email is missing. Server delays occasionally occur. Then:

Do not submit more than once per day. Multiple rapid submissions risk triggering automated blocks.

  • Search your inbox for “IDAC”, “All Indonesia Arrival Card”, or “Direktorat Jenderal Imigrasi”
  • Check spam/junk folders across all devices linked to that email account
  • Log in to the official portal and verify status using the method above
  • If status shows no record, re-submit — but only within the 2–3 day window before arrival

About our service — clarity matters

indonesiaarrivalcard.com is an independent application service. We are not affiliated with the Government of Indonesia, the Directorate General of Immigration, or any official agency. We charge $15 per traveller to assist with form completion, data review, and email delivery support. We do not issue IDACs, approve applications, or control the official system. Our role ends when your data is submitted to the official portal.

We cannot retrieve lost confirmations, override system errors, or expedite government processing. If your IDAC confirmation never arrived, we recommend verifying status on the official portal first — then contacting us only if you need help re-submitting correctly within the allowed window.

When to contact us — and when not to

Contact indonesiaarrivalcard.com only if:

Do not contact us for:

  • You used our service and believe your submission failed silently (e.g., no confirmation email, and no record found on the official portal)
  • You need assistance re-filling the form accurately ahead of your 2–3 day deadline
  • You want help confirming your email address is valid and deliverable before resubmission
  • Status updates beyond what the official portal provides
  • Entry eligibility questions (e.g., visa requirements, passport validity rules)
  • Requests to modify or cancel submissions already processed by the official system

Can I enter Indonesia without the IDAC confirmation email?

Yes — but only if your IDAC submission was successfully recorded in the official system. Immigration officers can verify your IDAC status at the port of entry using your passport and personal details. However, having the confirmation email on your device speeds up the process and reduces questioning.

Does the official portal resend the IDAC confirmation?

No. The official portal does not offer a “resend confirmation” function. If your email is missing and status verification shows your submission was received, the confirmation was likely delivered but filtered or misfiled. You must locate it yourself or rely on on-the-ground verification.

Is there a fee to submit the IDAC through the official portal?

No. Submission through https://allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id is free. Any third-party service charging for IDAC submission — including ours — operates independently and is not endorsed by the Indonesian government.

Need your IDAC handled for you?

We complete and file your Indonesia Digital Arrival Card and email it to you in as little as 10 minutes - $15.00, independent service.
